General/Beauty - Holiday Savings and Spirit

Good evening Urban Girls and Boys. With Christmas only a few days away I'm sure most of you are getting in your last minute holiday shopping. And if your anything like me you are looking to get the most bang for your buck. Well there's a site I love doing most of my shopping from named www.mypoints.com This site is great because you earn points just from clicking on store websites through the Mypoints link, and BAM you have earn points just from shopping ( you know, 'the thing you were already doing anyway). Whats great is they don't require you to store your credit card information with them because they are basically being used as a link to go to your favorites online stores to shop. For example I love shopping at Target, if I clink on the link for target.com I will earn up to 10 points per dollar I spend....pre tax. The best part is I can use any form of payment I choose and earn my points. Once you create a profile, the site keeps track with your points. Once you start accumulating points they are used to earn gift cards. Let me tell you, I have been a member since 91' and I have racked up so many points...one year I was able to earn a Visa gift card which I used to purchase one of my children a Nintendo DS Lite and three games. How great is that!!!! With so many banks and credit card companies doing away with there Debit/Credit Card rewards, its great to know that I can still earn points for doing something I love...SHOPPING!!!!

Alright, so now we have gotten the savings out of the way let me share with how I infuse some festive colors into my wardrobe without going overboard. I love painting my nails. Not only is it cost effective to do my own manicures, its also a simply way to add a little pop for the holidays. So tonight I painted my nails a beautiful green from Sinful Colors and I topped it with a sparkle color from Pure Ice. I love Sinful Colors because they are comparable to OPI, but at a fraction of the cost ($1.50 a bottle from www.walgreens.com) and they don't have all the harmful chemicals, just like OPI or Essie.
