Hey Urban babies!!! This past weekend I had the opportunity of celebrating one of my close friends birthday in Vegas. This is my third trip to Vegas, and each time I always do something different and eat somewhere different. Some say, "Oh, I don't gamble so I don't want to go to Vegas". Well there is so much more to Vegas than losing your money. If  you want to go to Vegas, I recommend checking out www.lasvegas.com, www.vegas.com, and my personal favorite www.southwestvacations.com. I used  Southwest to book this trip for two, on a 4d/3n visit including air and hotel stay. I paid $1090 for the trip. I purchase last year when my friend decided to go to Vegas. We stayed at Treasure Island, and I just love that place. The service is some of the best. They always take good care of us. No matter where you stay, ALWAYS get the casino's rewards or players card. It's a card that you use to place in the slot machines and you earn point which can be turned into comp money or free hotel stays for the near future. Which brings me to another great place to stay, Planet Hollywood, www.planethollywoodresort.com. Stayed there with my best friend last year, and the service and rooms are great as well. Planet Hollywood has a Total Rewards program that I love. I'm all about earning points and saving money, and whats great about this card is that it can be used at ALL of the Caesar Palace chains. I received a promotion listing that is good from March to May and I can chose from 5 or 6 hotels to say at for free or at a deeply discounted rate.

If you love shopping, then you will love Vegas. There are shopping centers or malls inside most of the casinos. There is the Fashion Show Mall, Miracle Mile Shop, and The Forum Shops which are all on the Strip. Besides shopping on the strip, you can also catch a Deuce (bus ride for$7 good for 24hours) and ride to the end of the strip and get a transfer to go to the Outlet Malls. There are so many places to spend the money that you just won, so don't worry about it burning a hole in your pocket, ;-D.

Let's talk about food, you do have to eat while your in Vegas....and boy will you eat. One of my favorite places to eat is at Grand Lux Cafe (www.grandluxcafe.com), which is a Cheesecake Factory brand company. I love going there for breakfast. My two favorite items to order are the Red Velvet Pancakes and Crab and Asparagus Omelet. The Red Velvet pancakes are to die for....I won't even describe how they melt in your mouth and have you wanting more. They are the size of the plate that they are served on, so I recommend sharing, but only if you want to. If you want to eat on a budget, I recommend getting the All you can eat buffet pass from Planet Hollywood( or the other Caesar Palace chains) for $44 which is valid for 24 hours from time of purchase and is good to use at 6 different locations. However, if money is not a factor for you, check out Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab (www.joes.net). If you know me, then you know service always wins me over. There was a wait because like anything in Vegas, this place is always busy. However, the greeter seated us in about 10min, so to me that was not bad at all. I had the famous stone crab claws, and they were worth every penny. They have three locations with the original being in Miami and there is also one in Chicago. The other place we dined at was The Sugar Factor (www.sugarfactory.com). This is a candy/sweets store on one side and a restaurant on the the other. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles, OMG!!! That is the best friend chicken I have ever tasted. It was coated with honey and it was soo crispy, it is a must try if you ever eat there. If you like to indulge in a nice drink from time to time, I must say that I'm a drink connoisseur, and their drinks are on point. You will not be disappointed when your in Vegas and you stop here for a few sweets of both kinds.

There are so many shows to check out. The one show that I have checked out is Cirque du Soleil's Zumanity (www.cirquedusoleil.com). Now this is a show for the grown and sexy....NO KIDS ALLOWED. I recommend every couple go check out this show, as it was recommended to me. I have also seen The Bodies Exhibit which explores the body like you've never seen before. Don't forget about leaving the strip and head over to check out the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon...if you can pull yourself away from the Poker table.

In my opinion Vegas is a destination for couples and big groups alike. And no matter how many times you visit you will always find something new to enjoy. I hope this has put you Urban Boys and Girls in the mood for traveling and I hope you have the chance to enjoy Vegas like I have...until next time, Stay Fabulous!!!!
