Wellness Wednesday - Healthy Skin
Spring has arrived, so what better time than now to make some changes to your skincare routine. Living in the great state of Texas we have two seasons, Warm and Hot. If you've ever lived here you completely understand why I gave us two fictional seasons. We are blessed with beautiful weather almost year round, which allows me to only tweak my skincare regimen slightly. In our cooler months I will use a heavier night cream, but for the most part it remains the same year round.
As I'm starting to notice some signs of aging, it's important to me to use products that will benefit my skin as the aging process begins to take place. Water should always be in the top spot when it comes to skincare. We all know the benefits of drinking plenty water so I want get into that. The next step is using products that target the area you are trying to improve or maintain.
I recently purchased this skincare set from Ulta. It's a Mario Badescu Anti Aging Kit. It contains a facial wash, toner, day cream, mask, and eye cream. I have always wanted to try the products and this set offers a cost effective way to "test" the products before purchasing the full size version. I chose the Anti Aging Kit because I know I want to address fine lines and wrinkles. I prefer using a complete set from one line compared to mixing with other brands. I find that products tend to work better when there is consistency.
In order to review the full benefits of a product, you should use the items for at least 28 days. Using the products on a regular basis allows your skin to react or not react to the product. I will use this complete line day and night until the product is gone. Always making sure I follow the directions to each product. Another thing to keep in mind is the products shelf life and expiration date. If your products are well past the expiration date, toss it. Most skincare products are not meant to last forever, so get rid of it.
What are your skincare concerns? Do you have a routine that you have down to a science or are you just using soap and water to clean your face? Let me know in the comments below. Until next time...Stay Fabulous.
