Product Love - Tarte's Lights Camera, Lashes 4 in 1 Mascara

Image
When it come to make up, I don't have to have a full face on everyday. However, I will not leave the house without my eyebrows done (unless I'm working out) and my mascara on. Lately I have been loving on my Tarte's Lights, Camera, Lashes 4 in 1Mascara  http://tartecosmetics.com/raf/click/?i=96!wzqrctx . I LOVE THIS STUFF!!! Photo credit: www.tarte.com Tarte uses natural ingredients in their product and that's what I love the most about the formula. I'm not Vegan by any means, but I appreciate the fact they do not use parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan , sodium lauryl sulfate, or gluten in their products. Half of the words I can't pronounce correctly anyway...  The 4 in 1 mascara is said to be a lengthening, curling, volumizing, and conditioning mascara infused with olive esters to condition, treat, and protect lashes. All I know is when I wear it...my lashes are still "flexible" and they are not hard. My lashes are short, so it does what it ...

Wellness Wednesday - Benefits of dry brushing skin

Image
As we approach the fall and winter months, I want to remind you of ways to keep your skin looking healthy and glowing. One great way to enhance the appearance of your skin, is by Dry Brushing. Dry Brushing is the process of stimulating your skin with a dry body brush. Some known benefits of dry brushing include: Helps to shed dead skin cells which improve the appearance of the skin. Improve blood circulation and improve muscle tone. Tighten skin due to increased blood flow which helps remove toxins from the skin. Skin is able to absorb more nutrients because the skin pores are not clogged. Cellulite....need I say more? The best time to dry brush is in the morning before you shower and it can be done daily. I try to dry brush when I can remember. You want to make sure your skin is dry and you're naked...you can't dry brush over clothes people, lol. Also, you want to avoid dry brushing if the skin is irritated or you have any type of rash on the skin. Doing so could further sprea...

Product Love - Oil of Olay Age Defying Shower Gel

Image
I am in love!!!! I haven't felt this way about a product in a while... I lie. I love every product that I buy, lol. Being a product junkie allows me to experience different items, and one new item that I'm using is, Oil of Olay Age Defying Shower Gel with a Jar of Moisturizer http://www.olay.com/skin-care-products/body-cleansing/anti-aging-body-wash?pid=037000740360 . OMG...this stuff is soooo moisturizing. My skin feels so smooth with each use. It reminds me of the Quench in Shower Body Lotion that came out years ago. The Age Defying Shower Gel is a soap free shower gel that claims to moisturize your skin for up to 24 hours. The one I purchased also had a jar of moisturizer inside each bottle, and that will explain the soft and silky skin I had after using it in the shower.  It also contains Vitamin E which has been proven to be beneficial to dry skin. Did I mention how good it smell.....so good. I normally use natural shower gels, but I will make an exception for this one. So...

Wellness Wednesday - Making water...better.

Image
If you ask anyone who knows me, they will tell you my drink of choice is none other than Big Red. I can drink that soda all day...but I don't. We all know the better choice is water, but its so boring and tasteless. Why water when you can have soda, tea, wine, or beers (Yes, with a s). I mean....they are made OF water...right? As much as I love all of the mentioned, I always find ways to include regular water with a twist. I make a honest effort to drink a minimum of 64oz a day (but I push myself to try and drink a gallon a day). I have a few tricks that I use in order to drink more water, they are: Morning glass: I drink at least 1 glass of water before I eat breakfast. This is good for you because it gets your internal organs moving and flushes the kidneys. Drink water from a straw: I find when I do this I tend to drink more water a lot faster than when I drink directly from the glass. It may be a mind game, but it works for me. Drink for a pre-measured glass: What I mean by th...

Talk Tuesday - Confessions of a Shopaholic

Image
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend that involved plenty of BBQ, beer, and great people to enjoy it with...safely I might add. With every holiday that comes around also leads to something else...something that gets me into trouble. That is holiday shopping and sales tend to make me a shopaholic. You know how they get you, "Spend $50 get $10 off or B1G1 Free". I get sucked in because I feel like I'm getting a great deal on a buy, which for the most is true. I'm one of those people that has every store rewards card, email link, and coupon books. I sign up for email coupons and reminders. If they offer it, I can't say no. When there are sales, I feel like I'm missing out when I don't shop, lol.  It's gotten to the point, that I will buy stuff just because it's on sale...and I may not need it. If it will earn me point...I will buy it. I even sign up for online websites to earn points just for shopping online. I like the fact that I will be rewarded...
